You may be thinking, does “PB” stand for peanut butter? In fact, it stands for “peaberry” which describes the size of these coffee beans from Tanzania. A peaberry is technically an agricultural defect because the coffee cherry only yields one seed or coffee bean. A peaberry bean is smaller and more dense than most coffees. Which leads to a lot of acidity in this coffee that yields flavors such as stone fruit, blood orange, and floral tones reminiscent of honeysuckle when roasted. This coffee is most suited for immersion brewing methods like the Aeropress brewer and the Clever dripper.
